RDHA's revitalization of the Hazel McCallion Central Library in Mississauga has been named one of 20 Finalists for the 2026 Ontario Association of Architects (OAA) Design Excellence Awards.
Selected from a pool of 96 eligible submissions, this year’s shortlist was curated by a jury of design experts who evaluated projects based on their creativity, context, sustainability, legacy, and the intersection of good design with good business. The finalist collection represents a diverse and visionary range of building types, spanning from Passive House-certified residences and net-zero energy research centers to innovative housing solutions and transformative public spaces.
The biennial OAA Design Excellence Awards program offers Ontario practices the opportunity to display the transformative influence of architecture, promoting broader public recognition and appreciation for its positive impact.
