First Leaside Financial Headquarters

Uxbridge, Ontario

This 40,000-square-foot sustainable office development was designed to accommodate the expansion of a growing financial securities firm.

Situated at the western edge of Uxbridge’s downtown business district, the building establishes a contemporary public profile for the company while reinvigorating the high street. Engineered to achieve LEED Platinum certification, the design incorporates extensive rooftop planting, natural ventilation strategies, and a geothermal heating and cooling system. The selection of a site removed from a major metropolitan core reflects the client's objective to establish an alternative, progressive workplace - an ambition articulated through the building’s deliberate relationship to its immediate site and the natural landscape.
