This diplomatic compound comprises a 30,000-square-foot chancellery accommodating offices for Immigration, CIDA, Trade & Investment, and Political & Economic Advisory services, paired with an 8,000-square-foot Official Residence. The core objectives of the project were to cultivate an environment of both security and sanctuary, reinforcing a spirit of collegiality among mission staff while establishing an inviting gateway to Canada for visitors and prospective immigrants. Security infrastructure is seamlessly integrated and detailed to ensure it does not compromise transparency, hospitality, or public engagement. The architectural massing and material expression respond directly to regional vernacular traditions, the tropical climate, and local construction capabilities, while simultaneously conforming to stringent Canadian technical standards and projecting a distinct Canadian cultural presence.
