This project replaces an existing operations facility at the township's central works yard in Georgetown. It includes offices, meeting spaces, change rooms, a lunch room with green roof terrace, general stores, an eight bay drive through fleet maintenance garage, and a welding and machining workshop.
This highly economical building achieves good design on a budget. One- and two-storey spaces are arranged to form a single rectilinear volume, clad in capless curtain wall and insulated metal sandwich panels which have been carefully detailed to eliminate the usual standardized trim elements.
