New Canadian Chancery

Abuja, Nigeria

2007 - 2016

This 20,000 square foot government office building in the embassy district of Nigeria’s capital city is part of Abuja's civic masterplan designed by Kenzo Tenge. It provides secure office space for consular services and international development, trade and investment, and political and economic advisory.  The complex is comprised of a perimeter security wall, sally port entrance, guard house, and main administrative building. The design concept draws on divergent factors including security, durability, indigenous building and craft traditions, local construction abilities and availability, cost effective planning, and a highly specialized set of client requirements.
