Confederation GO Station

Hamilton, Ontario

2016 - ongoing

Designed as the new flagship station for GO Transit’s expansion into the Niagara Region, this project integrates a variety of public, staff and infrastructure support spaces in a seamless whole that communicates graciousness, clarity and calm. The building’s north-facing arcade acknowledges passenger arrival from all directions and provides generous sheltered outdoor waiting areas, while a clerestory lantern brings diffused daylight into the central ticketing hall.

Site work includes integrated pedestrian, bicycle, and vehicle roads and paths, a generous landscaped plaza and courtyard, parking to accommodate 600-650 cars, and two pick up/drop off lots.
