Tyler Sharp


Principal and Design Director


Tyler is a graduate of the Dalhousie University School of Architecture, where his thesis work won him the American Institute of Architects Thesis Award. His professional work experience began with the Vancouver firm Battersby Howat and KPMB Architects in Toronto. Tyler joined RDHA in 2005 to help begin a transformative process: his first project with the firm was the Governor General's Medal-winning Bloor Gladstone Library.  Following this, Tyler has led the designs for many of the firms most highly acclaimed cultural projects.

Tyler has acted as a juror for the Canadian Architect Awards of Excellence and the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada’s Gold Medal, Young Architect, Firm of the year, and Emerging Practice awards. He was the 2014 recipient of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada’s Young Architect Medal.
