Toronto, Ontario Rounthwaite, Dick & Hadley are currently working with Ian MacDonald Architect Inc. as Recreation/Sports specialty consultants for the renovation of the 97-year-old Boulevard Club. The Boulevard Club is Toronto's only waterfront private sports, recreation and family club. The current renewal program has brought together the team of RDH and Ian MacDonald to provide a Club facility which will attract a new generation of members while still addressing the needs of their existing members. The new program includes the decommissioning of a 6 sheet curling rink to accommodate a new 25m indoor six lane lap pool and a leisure pool with water spray features and new change room facilities, an expanded fitness area which includes spinning and aerobics rooms, a new pro shop, a new Cafe, a kitchen and upscale bistro dining area, a contemporary lounge and youth and teen rooms. Exterior work includes opening up portions of the south facade to accommodate views to the lake along with a large new deck, which will hold an outside dining area for the new bistro.
